In Mariposa we did a sewing class. it was very fun. My teachers were Maria Alexandra and Belkis.
The first stitch we learned was the simple in-and-out Stitch. It was super easy. With this stitch we made little pin cushions. I learned that it is important to make the stitches small so there is no holes.
The next stitch I learned was an over stitch it was used to seal stuffing inside of the fabric. With this stitch we made little eraser covers that have animals on them. I learned this is the stitch you use when you want to make the fabric look good and be strong.
The last stitch I learned was over and then you made a knot it is meant for tight stitches with. With this stitch we made stuffed animal cats. I learned that the knot helps it from not falling apart.
Sewing class was so fun I hope I can sew more when I get home.
